Merimbula is a city on Merimbula Lake, located on the Far South Coast or Sapphire Coast of New South Wales, Australia.
At the 2011 census, the population within a 10 km radius of the Merimbula Post Office was over 18,000 people.
Merimbula was named after the Aboriginal word for 'two lakes'.
The tourist town is renowned for its fresh rock oysters and annual Jazz Festival, held on the Queens' Birthday Long weekend each year.

Merimbula is one of only a few cities on the South Coast of NSW to have its own airport.
There are daily flights by Regional Express (Rex) from Sydney and Melbourne to Merimbula. Flights from Sydney often stop in Moruya.
As well as Regular Commercial flights, the airport hosts a busy General Aviation sector. Merimbula Air Services operates a flying school, charter and joy flights. Charter services are also offered by Air Sapphire and fish spotting aircraft also operate out of the airport.
The facility is owned by the Bega Valley Shire Council and is managed by Airport Agencies Pty. Ltd.
The airport is located 2km (1 nautical mile) south of Merimbula CBD.It has one asphalt runway 1,602 metres (5,256 feet) long and 30 metres
( 98 feet) wide.
The runway is at an elevation of 2 metres (7 feet) above mean sea level, and is in a direction of 03/21
